PADG Male of the Year Award now sponsored
The Parkland Association of Disc Golf has a sponsor for one it its year-end awards to be announced in January.
Mark Zawerucha Remax Blue Chip Realty Yorkton is sponsoring the PADG Member of the Year – Male.
“We are excited to be presenting three awards to members at our upcoming AGM (Jan. 28 in Yorkton), and having sponsors for the trophies is great,” said PADG chair Calvin Daniels. “It’s great to see disc golf growing across our region, and having support from sponsors such as Mark (Zawerucha). The PADG really appreciates it.”
Zawerucha said it was an opportunity to support a growing group dedicated to outdoor sport and recreation in the area.
“I haven’t played disc golf myself yet, but it’s obvious there is a lot of interest in the sport, with courses developing across the region,” he said. “So when I found out the PADG was seeking a trophy sponsor I was quick to say yes.”
The PADG is planning to present three awards at its AGM the Zawerucha Trophy for males, Cornerstone Credit Union was announced earlier for youth, and a sponsor for the ladies’ award is expected to be announced soon.
Details for PADG Member of the aYear - Youth Award by Cornerstone Credit Union are still being finalized by Dec. 1, but there is a working framework being discussed, (so input is welcome).
