Discs fly in Melville

The second annual Melville Disc Gold Tournament took place Saturday, May 26, with Duncan Holness of Grenfel, SK. Topping the field throwing 147 through 54, one stroke better than Caleb Eschbach of Regina who shot a 148. Taylor Mountain of Regina sat third with a 153, with Nick LeClerc of Yorkton rounding out the top-four shooting a 159. Holness and Eschbach as PADG members finishing in the top two of a recognized event qualify for a spot in the Farrell Agencies Championship Challenge to be held in October. Other winners in Melville include the Yorkton Terriers Closest to the Pin Award went to Ben Pullar, while Eshbach took the Access Communications Longest Drive Award. Karter Delorme took the shots at the Fountain Tire Putt, but none of his three tries found its way through the 15-inch tire. Becky Musqua captured the BR Honey Award for women’s longest drive.
